Products & Technology » Using the Harbinger MI-1000
The Harbinger test is very easy to use.
Special single-use electrodes are attached in the positions shown on the diagram below while the patient lies on their back in a resting position. There is no need for exercise, so the test can be performed without limitations of physical health and concurrent medical treatments. The Harbinger MI-1000 applies sub-threshold electrical stimulation to the QRS complex of every other heartbeat for 400 heartbeats. Most patients cannot feel this stimulation. The ECG signals are acquired using three pair of patented orthogonal ECG sensors. The data is immediately analyzed and presented to the physician in the form of the Wedensky Modulation Index (WMI).
The test takes a total of about twenty minutes.
